September School

Every September, IHL hosts the so-called September School with the purpose to strengthen and build new international partnerships for IHL, and to enable IHL students to learn firsthand about topics from an intercultural perspective. In this regard, IHL has hosted numerous international speakers:

  • 2016: Dr. Lazarus Phiri, Evangelical University in Ndola, Zambia, about “Contemporary Issues in World Mission”
  • 2017: Prof. Dr. Oliver Williams, University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota, about “Domestic Violence, religion and the role of the church”
  • 2018: Prof. Dr. Ferdinand J. Potgieter, North-West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa, about “Education and Reconciliation”

In 2019, we will host Dr. Tricia Van Dyk, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania. From September 3, 2019, until September 13, 2019, Dr. Van Dyk will teach about “Peacemaking and Justice”.

All September School classes are taught in English.
